Coffee Date

I was pleasantly surprised last night by the movie Coffee Date. It's a new gay romantic comedy; a review and description are here. Some friends of mine and I went to only because Blood Diamond was described by the San Francisco Chronicle as "brain-fryingly boring", but we ended up enjoying it a great deal. The acting was a little shaky in places, but the story was solid and the movie as a whole is quite a bit more than "goofy piece of fluff" the Chronicle describes.
